To become a Certified Paraoptometric, one must be a high school graduate and employed by an optometrist for at least 6 months. Sara and Valarie had to pass a test covering a variety of topics including: Anatomy, Common Eye Disorders, Basic Pharmacology, Eye Examinations, Refractive Conditions, Contact lenses, Basic Optics, Ophthalmic Lenses, and Ophthalmic Dispensing.
